Frequently Asked Questions
What should I expect when I visit your church?
You will be warmly greeted by our members, who love to welcome visitors to our church!

During the service, the pastor will ask you to fill out a connection card (information obtained on a connection card is strictly for the use of Countryside Baptist Church; it is not sold or distributed to any outside source). Information is gathered from you so we can get to know you and your needs. We respect your privacy.

You will not be called out or embarrassed in any way during the service.

Children are encouraged to be a part of the Children’s Church or nursery, depending on their age. However, if children are more comfortable with their parents, they are permitted to stay in the auditorium.

What does “Independent Baptist” mean?
In short, an Independent Baptist Church is one that does not belong to a denomination or convention.

What does “Fundamental” mean?
Historically, a Fundamentalist is one who holds to the “Fundamentals of the Faith”:

The Deity of Christ
(John 1:1, John 20:28, Hebrews 1:8-9)

– The virgin birth
(Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:27)

– The substitutionary blood atonement
(Acts 20:28, Romans 3:25, 5:9, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 9:12-14)

(Psalm 12:6-7, Romans 15:4, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20)

What does “Evangelistic” mean?
We strive to carry out the Great Commission as found in Matthew 28:19-20.
This is done through preaching the gospel from the pulpit, presenting the gospel in Sunday School lessons, sharing the gospel in our community through various outreach ministries, as well as supporting various missionaries around the world.

Why do you use the King James Bible?
As Bible-believing Christians, we believe that the words of the King James Bible are the pure and preserved words of God for the English speaking people.

What style of music do you use?
The music at Countryside Baptist Church is traditional and conservative, while also encouraging and uplifting! Our song service is accompanied by a piano. Special music selections are also traditional hymns or similar songs which are conservative in nature. We strive to choose music that is Scriptural in content, clear in message, and such that draws the attention to our wonderful Savior!

Do you offer any children’s programs?

During the Sunday School hour, classes are provided for children of all ages. Sunday School offers a time to have fun with other children while learning lessons from God’s Word. Children’s Church is held during the Sunday morning worship hour and is for ages four through twelve; it includes time for singing, crafts, and Bible teaching.

Nursery is provided for children three and under during all services.
